WEEK 1
Draw at least six drawings from direct observation (real things only). Three of these objects should be man-made/mechanical objects (staplers, wrenches, pliers, scissors, etc.). The other three should be organic/natural objects (fruit, veggies, trees plants, rocks, bones, etc.).
This week drawings were more simple. I think I needed to start with something I am comfortable with so that's what I got from it. I did simple drawings from pencil. For the organic objects I certainly took my time with it and the shading. The mechanical objects were a bit difficult. I think I just got stumped with the classification of 'mechanical.'
WEEK 4
Focus on one object only. A different object from any you have previously worked with. It must be something organic (not man-made). Objects with 3D form (examples; bones, vegetables, fruits, branches, roots, not flowers, etc.) Concentrate on shading. Make it look real.
This week was more my comfort level in the sense of what is being asked to do. Since I already did somethin similar week 1, I decided to push myself and try color which is something I stray from completely. It was difficult manipulating the colors and the palette on my end to make it look realistic.
WEEK 7
Draw at least six eyes in different positions, from direct observation Your goal is to accurately capture the “life” of each eye.
This week I experimented more with time. I tested myself on three to see how fast I could sketch different eyes since I already knew how to draw them. Still used the same medium
WEEK 9
Draw at least six heads/faces in different positions, from direct observation Your goal is to accurately capture the “life” of each heads/faces.
This week's drawings were more hard since it had to be live. I drew a quick sketch very lightly, and then went over again with more detail and as much as I was able to remember from the moment.
